  1. Well, everybody have heard about rumors that FC cheated the competition 
  2. at the Assembly93, well they aren't only rumors, .... Those files where 
  3. spreaded into CDN...

  9. Everyone know that Future Crew is probably the BEST demogroup of all
  10. platform, but however, two disturbing informations that I had discover may
  11. soon shatter the group and place them in shame.
  12.     If you would FTP ftp.uwp.edu and access /pub/incoming/demos, you
  13. should see "bear1.gif" and "bear.nfo".  It's the picture that Marvel ripped
  14. off and entered in the ASM-93 contest.  That picture won 1st place and
  15. some lump of money and prizes.  This picture clearly indicated that it
  16. was copyrighted in 1988 (!) by a group which name I can't remember right
  17. now.  Is this true?  I am not sure, but, until then, Marvel's skills as
  18. an artist comes in serious doubt.
  19.     I have confered with a person who have attended the ASM-93 and he
  20. told me that the music competition was not what it should be, because
  21. Future Crew members had conducted a ballot-stuffing (fake voting), helping
  22. their own members win the music competitions.

  24.     On a sidenote, Future Crew was rumored to "skip" parts of other 
  25. group's demo, possibly hurting the other group's score due to the fact
  26. that some scenes went unseen.

  28.     As Future Crew regain their position as the best demogroup (repassing
  29. Triton with their Crystal Dreams 2), did they intentionally cheat to
  30. show the rest of the world that they "are the best in everything?"  If
  31. all of these dark accusations become true, what would happen to them
  32. and the PCscene in general?  What are your thoughts and comments?

  38. That's not the only thing stinking about the music competition in Ass'93.
  39. Many of the other groups' modules sounded worse than they would have, 
  40. if they had been played on a GOOD player. In fact, FC *refused* to use,
  41. in the 4-channel competition, any other player than ScreamTracker 3, 
  42. which still IMHO has some serious bugs in its .MOD capabilities.

  52. I Downloaded The Grafix From The Assemly '93 PC Compo And Looked At The
  53. Results. A Picture Named "Ice Kingdom", Drawn By Marvel/FC Had Won The
  54. Compo. I Looked At The Grafix And Then, There Was The File Called
  55. ICEKNGDM.LBM. That Must Be The File Which Had Won The Compo ... But As
  56. I Saw The Grafix, I Had The Feeling Of Remebering That Picture. So
  57. I Looked At My Fantasy Gif Collection, And The Fourth Picture Was It.
  58. It Was In The Resoultion 640x480x256 And It Looked Like The One By
  59. Marvel. The Only Think : It Seemed To Be Scanned ... And The Copyrigth :

  71. Well, I've seen all the messages on this net about BEAR1.ZIP and all the 
  72. other shit about Future Crew, i've also seen the GIF from wich Marvel
  73. took his picture for assembly, i though Marvel was able to
  74. make this sort of shit as i know the very bad mentality of FC, I gave 
  75. the original pics to our GFXman (PL/Imphobia) and after seeing the 
  76. pics he told me that its 100% sure that Marvel ripped it.. And as people 
  77. have seen it on the Terracom CDrom, there can't any more doubts about it!

  79. Fc also make troubles in the demo and musix competitions, so what does it
  80. stands for???  Can we also believe that Marvel (wich is a 'gfxman') made
  81. the "can't remeber you" mod wich was presented at the music compo?  Well
  82. after seeing how he cheated at the gfx compo, none can know if he didn't
  83. make the same 'play' at the sound compo...

  85. We really need Future Crew explanation about that, and if FC didn't react, 
  86. it prove that they are lyers!  
  87. But after seeing that, can we still believe one word of what Future Crew 
  88. could say???

  96. Well, since a few weeks I keep hearing all thos nasty rumors about the Future
  97. Crew.. All those guys are telling me, that FC somehow goofed the competions,
  98. like using that bad player, etc. etc. Well. That really sounds not too good
  99. to me, because there should be a 'real' competition. And besides I think that
  100. Future Crew shouldn't be afraid of a real compo because most of their stuff
  101. is really quite O.K... But to steal pictures is really not O.K.!

  105. At the party '92, the demo competition was, let's say slightly offbeat...
  106. Future Crew used all those little dirty tricks like:
  107.      ∙ First telling everyone there'll be no demo from them
  108.      ∙ then, all of a sudden, at the END of the compo Gore shouted
  109.        (you know in this certain style) And Now! The new demo by
  110.        the Future Crew.... (all other things were anounced like
  111.        uhh.. hmm yes.. copper? by humm...  surbrisse..?...)
  112.      ∙ and finally they turned the volume up to give the sound a special
  113.        boost...
  114. And all of those tricks really weren't necessary, because Panic was a real
  115. good demo, so why didn't they show it somewhere in the middle of the others
  116. with regular volume? Seems a bit strange to me....

  118. So Future Crew.. you really should think it over, if it's worth to betray all
  119. those other groups.... just for being famous....? is it really that important
  120. for you to be no.1 ? with all that cheating...? seems like a childish attitude
